Vietnam: Pre-arrival Health Declaration

In our spotlight on the APAC series, we round up the latest developments across the Asia Pacific Region.

Vietnam will expand its health declaration regime for all travellers entering, exiting or transiting through the country, effective 1 July 2026. Travellers are required to complete the health declaration within seven days prior to their entry, departure or transit.

The Ministry of Health may adjust the scope based on infectious disease risks of importation to Vietnam. The platform or process for submitting the health declaration has yet to be announced and further implementation guidance is expected.

Employers and travellers should factor in extra time at the airports or border gates during the initial rollout period as the new requirement is implemented. Failure to submit the health declaration could result in delays, additional checks or denied boarding.
