In our spotlight on APAC series, we round up the latest developments across the region. In this post, we capture some notable points on visa-free scheme for Indian nationals traveling to the Philippines.
With effect from 8 June 2025, Indian nationals can travel to the Philippine visa-free for tourism. Depending on the traveller’s residence or visa status in select countries, the stays vary up to 14 or 30 days with the conditions below:
14-day visa-free stay (non- convertible & non- extendible) available to Indian nationals who meet the following:
- Validity of passport of at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
- Confirmed hotel/accommodation booking
- Return or onward ticket to the next country of destination
- Proof of financial capacity
30-day visa-free stay for those holding valid visas or residence permits from: Australia, Canada, Schengen countries, Singapore, or the United Kingdom or the United States.
The new advisory is primarily aimed to enhance and boost tourism in Philippines. Foreigners with non-tourism or long-term plans will still need to apply for the appropriate visa to reside in the country.
