In our Spotlight series, we highlight the latest developments across the region. In this update, we outline anticipated immigration processing delays and government office closures in several jurisdictions worldwide in observance of the Eid Al-Adha festivities commencing from 27 May 2026.
This year, Eid-Al-Adha is expected to begin on the evening of 26 May and conclude on 27 May, although the dates will vary based on the lunar sightings in each country. In conjunction with the holiday period, government offices in various countries are expected to close, extending until 01 June. Processing time for immigration applications are expected to be delayed until after the holidays to buffer for application backlogs.
