In our spotlight on the APAC series, we round up the latest developments across the Asia Pacific Region. In this edition, we focus on the recent updates to the China’s visa-free policy granted to Canadian, and British nationals from 17 February 2026.
To facilitate cross-border travel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has implemented a visa-free policy for nationals of Canada and the United Kingdom, effective 17 February 2026.
Holders of ordinary passports from these countries can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchanges or a transit not exceeding 30 days.
The policy will be effective until 31 December 2026.
